Tamposi Subdivision in Temple

Visualizing the Tamposi Subdivision in Temple, NH

Tamposi is proposing a 34-lot subdivision on the side of pristine and fragile Pack Monadnock Mountain. The subdivision straddles and interrupts dozens of seasonal streams. The soil depth in this area is unsuited for housing, and the builders will have to go to great lengths to bring in enough dirt to sustain 34 septic fields.

There are very few subdivisions of this size in this region. There are other small mountains in this area, but not one of them, even out toward densely populated Manchester and Nashua, have a subdivision plastered on their sides.

Now, imagine the comings and goings of 34 families on the eastern ascent of 101 as it traverses Temple Mountain. The road will need to be widened, but will that really prevent accidents on this treacherous stretch of highway?

aerial view of TempleOther towns have had to fight to protect their scenic beauty and rural character. It is time for Temple to fight! Contact your selectmen and the members of the planning board. Let them know how important it is to you that we find ways to stop this outrageous and destructive eyesore. If this subdivision gets approved, there's no telling how many others will pop up on all the beautiful hills around us.

I, for one, intend to do everything I can to keep Temple from becoming a suburb!

To give people a better idea of what it will look like to have 34 houses clustered on this land, I have mocked up 2 views of the Tamposi property below. These are high-res jpegs. If you'd like to go to the low-res jpeg page, click here.

I have conservatively alotted for each house to clear enough forest for building, septic field, and most will want to clear for the view.
